Evansville Water and Sewer Utility - 4.0 Evansville, IN Job Details $26.10 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Commercial truck driving Full Job Description DUTIES Conducts preventative maintenance on vehicles with 1 ½ ton capacity or more and reports needed repairs and damages to vehicles. Operates and is responsible for vehicles assigned by supervisor or leadman which could include, but not limited to, dump trucks, diesel trucks, etc. Performs labor duties at job site. Performs construction duties such as hand digging, yard work, etc. Acts as crew leader for laborers assigned to vehicle. Performs maintenance duties inside manholes. Works any shift, overtime, holidays and weekends as required. Performs other duties as assigned and assists other employees as required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; will consider applicants without diploma based upon experience demonstrating required abilities and skills. Must obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with proper endorsements. Incumbent must have practical knowledge of truck operations.

RESPONSIBILITY

Work is performed under moderate supervision with incumbent reporting to Leadman and Construction and Maintenance supervisors.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

Effort is regularly exerted for prolonged periods. Strain may be intense for moderate duration. Effort involves pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and moderate to heavy lifting. In addition, must meet and/or perform all established physical requirements.

WORK CONDITIONS

Prolonged and frequent exposure to extreme temperatures or inclement weather conditions. May have occasional exposure to hazardous conditions including vibration, raw sewage and heights.
