In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers to deliver freight efficiently and on time. Your enthusiasm for driving, attention to safety, and commitment to excellent service will ensure smooth logistics operations. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles. Load and unload freight with precision, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo according to safety standards. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Manage delivery schedules by planning optimal routes and adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route driving responsibilities. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and various truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and cargo securing techniques. Ability to operate equipment like forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
