Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a versatile and dependable Universal CDL Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate a variety of commercial vehicles and non commersial vehicles to deliver rental equipment efficiently and safely across diverse routes. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers and trucks will ensure timely deliveries and rout efficiency's while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate , dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and porta pot truck other specialized equipment. Load and unload equipment using appropriate tools such as tractor when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Drive on assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure timely deliveries. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in accordance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with warehouse duties when required, including loading/unloading shop matireals and supporting inventory management. Skills Proven experience driving various types of commercial vehicles with a focus on safety and efficiency. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of handling procedures including load securement and proper use of equipment like truck tracktors Excellent route planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or road conditions. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with necessary endorsements for different vehicle types. Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers professionally.
