POSITION DESCRIPTION
Class A Driver Company:
SET Environmental Location:
Field Operations / Local Driver with occassional out of town routes as needed
Pay:
$30 per hour or more depending on experience, plus Over time after 40 hours (10-20 hours of OT on average per week), Bonuses, Health, Vision and Dental, 401K, annual reviews with room for growth Position Summary As a Class A Driver at SET Environmental, you will play a critical role in environmental safety and logistics. You will be responsible for safely transporting materials from customer sites to designated disposal and treatment facilities while strictly adhering to DOT regulations and SET safety protocols. This role involves close collaboration with field service personnel and the operation of specialized transport equipment.
Key Responsibilities Safe Transport:
Transport materials from customer sites to disposal and treatment facilities in full compliance with DOT regulations.
Safety & Hazard Mitigation:
Prioritize health and safety by adhering to SET policies, identifying potential hazards on-site, communicating risks, and executing mitigation strategies.
Field Collaboration:
Work hand-in-hand with SET field service personnel across various project sites.
Equipment Inspections:
Conduct thorough daily inspections of equipment and supplies to ensure project readiness.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate a diverse fleet of specialized vehicles and trailers, including: Roll-off trailers and straight trucks Vacuum and product tankers 48' and 53' dry vans Flatbed and lowboy trailers 3,000-gallon liquid vacs
General Duties:
Perform miscellaneous operational duties as required to support project success. Position RequirementsQualifications & Experience Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements. Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience , including at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience . Tanker and Haz-Mat endorsements (or the ability to obtain them). High school diploma or equivalent ( preferred ). Operational & Physical Demands Ability to perform out-of-town runs as needed and participate in an on-call rotation. Proficiency in English (ability to speak, read, and write sufficiently). Ability to maintain electronic driver logs using a company-provided smartphone. Ability to pass and maintain all physical requirements, including holding a valid DOT medical card .
