Job Summary Seasonal CDL Driver transports Parks & Recreation participants to activities within and outside City limits. Operates City passenger vehicles including small buses, mid-size vehicles, and 15-passenger vans. Provides prompt, courteous service to participants of all ages. Must be available days, evenings, and some weekends. Valid CDL (appropriate class) with passenger (P) endorsement; must maintain insurability under the City's driving standards. Job Duties Drive designated routes safely and in compliance with traffic laws, safety procedures, and transit requirements. Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations; transport Little Apple Day Camp participants. Maintain schedule when possible; communicate delays, incidents, or route issues to passengers and supervisor(s). Assist passengers, including those with disabilities, with boarding/exiting the vehicle as needed. Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle safety inspections each shift?(e.g., tires, lights, fluids) and report defects promptly.

Requirements:

Required Knowledge & Skills CDL with passenger (P) endorsement. Selected candidate(s) must pass a KBI background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Must be 21 years or older. Preferred Knowledge & Skills CPR/First Aid Certification (Available through Parks & Recreation if not already held). Other Information Must have an acceptable driving record.
