JOB SUMMARY

Are you someone who likes to work with others? Can you work in an environment where you set the rhythm to keep the operations moving? Are you willing to operate machinery safely and see the success of an exciting industry? Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Haul Truck Driver at our Olathe Quarry in Olathe, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture Inspect equipment for signs of wear Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment Work in a team environment Clean work areas Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Proper wear of personal protective equipment Notify supervisors of repairs needed Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements Assist in plant maintenance and repairs Perform duties with minimum supervision

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent Must have a valid driver's license Bulldozer and excavator experience 1 + years related experience Valid US driver's license

Skills:

Ability to work with minimal supervision Knowledge of MSHA regulations Effective verbal communication Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance Physical Abilities Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
