Position Summary MAC Disposal is seeking a dependable and responsible Roll-Off Truck Driver to deliver, exchange, and pick up dumpsters for residential and commercial customers throughout the SouthCoast area. The ideal candidate is a safe and reliable driver who takes pride in providing professional customer service, maintaining company equipment, and completing scheduled deliveries and pickups accurately and on time. Essential Responsibilities Safely operate a company truck to deliver, exchange, and pick up dumpsters. Transport dumpsters to residential, commercial, and construction locations. Position dumpsters safely and properly at customer locations. Pick up full dumpsters and transport them to the appropriate disposal or transfer facility. Inspect dumpsters and truck equipment before and after use. Secure dumpsters and loads properly for transportation. Follow assigned daily routes and schedules. Communicate with the office regarding completed deliveries, pickups, delays, or customer concerns. Confirm that dumpsters are placed in the correct location and are accessible for pickup. Perform basic inspection and care of the truck and dumpster equipment. Report mechanical problems, damage, or unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain accurate delivery and pickup information. Provide courteous and professional customer service. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable Massachusetts laws and regulations. Maintain a clean and professional appearance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Valid Massachusetts driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being operated. Clean and safe driving record. Previous commercial driving, dumpster, roll-off, waste removal, construction, or similar experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a truck and maneuver dumpsters in residential and commercial areas. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow directions and manage a daily route efficiently. Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions. Ability to perform physical duties associated with dumpster delivery and pickup. Massachusetts Licensing Requirements Valid Massachusetts Class B CDL Air-brake qualification if the truck is equipped with air brakes. DOT medical certification Good/safe driving record Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to: Sit and operate a commercial vehicle for extended periods. Enter and exit the truck repeatedly throughout the workday. Inspect and secure equipment. Perform occasional bending, reaching, climbing, and walking. Lift and carry items as needed. Work safely around construction sites, driveways, businesses, and residential properties. Work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and other weather conditions. Safety Responsibilities Safety is a priority. The Roll-Off Truck Driver is expected to: Operate all vehicles and equipment safely. Follow company procedures and applicable DOT and Massachusetts requirements. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when required. Conduct required vehicle and equipment inspections. Immediately report accidents, damage, unsafe conditions, or equipment problems. Never operate a company vehicle while impaired or in an unsafe condition. Customer Service Because the Roll-Off Truck Driver is often the customer's primary contact with the company, the driver is expected to: Be courteous and professional. Treat customer property with care. Communicate clearly regarding dumpster placement and pickup. Avoid unnecessary damage to driveways, lawns, curbs, or other property. Represent Cardoso Contracting / Concrete in a professional manner. Schedule The normal work schedule will be based on customer deliveries, pickups, and company needs. The position may require early morning starts, occasional extended hours, and additional hours during busy periods. Compensation Hourly rate will be based on experience.
