This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers,Dry Van while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you'll ensure timely deliveries, maintain compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and provide exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (regional) routes, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including checking refrigeration units, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while adhering to safety protocols. Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes accurately and efficiently, adjusting plans as needed for traffic or weather conditions. Transport various types of freight—including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, automobile transportation, and other cargo—while maintaining the integrity of the load. Ensure proper documentation for all deliveries, including bills of lading, manifests, and safety data sheets for hazardous materials. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit. Maintain a clean driving record by practicing safe driving techniques and complying with all traffic laws. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred but not required. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across long distances. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety standards for dangerous goods handling. Ability to manually handle freight safely during loading and unloading processes while following proper procedures for truck loading/unloading. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems and familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures to ensure cargo safety during transit.
