Sidewalk Crew Lead / Snow Removal Crew Member Saladino Property Maintenance (SPM) is seeking reliable and experienced individuals to join our winter operations team. We are currently hiring an experienced Sidewalk Crew Leader as well as on-call Snow Shovelers. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position responsible for keeping commercial sidewalks, entrances, steps, and walkways safe and accessible throughout the winter season. SPM utilizes SnowRator sidewalk machines, snowblowers, spreaders, and hand shovels to efficiently clear and treat commercial properties. Candidates must be dependable and available to respond when winter weather occurs, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Sidewalk Crew Lead Responsibilities Lead and coordinate sidewalk crews during snow and ice events. Operate SnowRator sidewalk machines, snowblowers, spreaders, and other snow removal equipment. Ensure assigned properties are completed thoroughly and on schedule. Direct crew members and ensure proper snow removal and deicing procedures are followed. Communicate with management regarding site conditions, staffing, equipment, and material needs. Follow assigned routes, site maps, and property-specific instructions. Inspect equipment before and after use and report mechanical or safety concerns. Step in wherever needed during larger or extended storms. Maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. Snow Removal Crew Member Responsibilities Shovel and clear sidewalks, entrances, steps, ramps, and walkways. Apply salt and ice-melting products as required. Respond promptly to snow and ice events, including overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday storms. Follow assigned routes, site maps, and instructions from the Crew Lead. Assist with transporting equipment and materials when required. Work efficiently as part of a crew to ensure properties are cleared and treated within required service timelines. Job Requirements 1 year snow removal, landscaping, construction, or equipment operation experience preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work flexible and extended hours during winter weather events. Must be available on an on-call basis throughout the winter season. Comfortable working outdoors in snow, ice, wind, and cold temperatures. Ability to lift 50+ lbs . and perform physically demanding work for extended periods. Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a crew. Reliable transportation and the ability to report to work when called. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience operating SnowRator or similar sidewalk snow removal equipment. Experience leading snow removal, landscaping, or property maintenance crews for Crew Lead candidates. Familiarity with commercial snow and ice management. Ability to operate skid steers, loaders, plow trucks, or other equipment is a plus. Strong availability and commitment for the entire winter season.
