Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tow Truck Operator and become a vital part of roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services. In this energetic role, you will operate specialized tow trucks to assist stranded motorists, recover vehicles from accident scenes, and ensure safe transportation of vehicles across various locations. Duties Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and vehicle recovery towing equipment, to transport vehicles efficiently and securely. Perform vehicle load & unload procedures following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to assist with roadside issues or prepare vehicles for towing. Use automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle conditions and determine appropriate recovery or repair actions. Follow safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and mechanical guidelines. Assist with car towing, cargo securement, and vehicle recovery operations at accident scenes or roadside emergencies. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, managing conflict professionally, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the service process. Qualifications Valid driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving or flatbed operations. Proven mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics, minor repairs, and basic vehicle troubleshooting. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading techniques on tow trucks. Will trian right person Familiarity with manual transmissions and mechanical systems of trucks and cars. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; ability to operate tow trucks safely under various conditions. Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.you are required to do some nights on call and every other weekend. We don't do auto club towing police work and contracted work. Pay depending on experience.
