Job Description

Job Summary:
The Hydro Vacuum Excavation Driver/Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hydro excavation equipment. This role involves driving the hydro vac truck to job sites, setting up and operating the equipment, as well as performing excavation tasks as required. The operator must ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Operation:
Operate hydro vacuum excavation equipment, including high-pressure water systems and vacuum systems. Drive the hydro vac truck to and from job sites, ensuring adherence to all traffic and safety regulations.
Excavation Tasks:
Perform precise excavation tasks using high-pressure water to break up soil and vacuum systems to remove debris. Dig trenches, holes, and slots for various construction, utility, and maintenance projects.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, equipment inspections, and safety reports. Complete necessary paperwork for each job, including job tickets and time sheets.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred Must pass pre-employment and random drug screens Must pass background and Mass CORI check OSHA 10 certification in construction Valid CDL A License (Tanker endorsement) Massachusetts 2A required, both 2A1C preferred Must have experience in a Hydro Vacuum Excavation truck

$32.00 - $37.00 per hour
