In this vital role, you will operate a variety of trucks—including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers—delivering freight across regional and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving will ensure timely, safe, and efficient deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo including hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, automobile transportation, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments across designated routes Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; document findings accurately Load and secure cargo properly using manual handling techniques to prevent shifting or damage during transit Deliver freight promptly while maintaining excellent customer service standards; communicate proactively with dispatch for route adjustments or delivery updates Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving in diverse environments Familiarity with operating different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading procedures Ability to navigate using GPS systems efficiently while adhering to route plans and delivery schedules Prior experience handling logistics cargo including freight management for refrigerated goods or automobile transportation is preferred Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the types of freight transported; clean driving record is essential Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise keeps the wheels turning!
