Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers on diverse routes, local deliveries, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load, secure, transport, no touch freight, or specialty cargo like flatbeds and tankers using manual handling techniques. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions to meet delivery schedules. Transport automobiles or other specialty vehicles via automobile transportation protocols when required. Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations when handling dangerous goods, including proper documentation and safety procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission trucks preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery. Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation, hazardous materials regulations, and truck loading/unloading procedures. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during load & unload operations. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) routes. Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards. Experience with logistics cargo handling involving dangerous goods or specialized cargo such as flatbed or tanker loads is a plus. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
