Company Overview Capital Pet Movers has been dedicated to relocating pets safely and efficiently since 2001. We work with a diverse clientele, including government employees, military personnel, and civilians, ensuring pets reach their destinations with minimal stress and maximum care. Overview We are seeking an energetic and responsible Animal Transport Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting pets across various routes, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service throughout the process. Your dedication will help ensure our clients' pets arrive securely and comfortably at their new homes. Travel would generally include Washington DC, Baltimore MD and Virginia, with occasional long distance trips. Duties Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles for pet transportation along designated routes Load and unload pets using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary Communicate effectively with clients and team members via mobile devices to coordinate pickups and deliveries Follow safe lifting practices when handling pet carriers or other equipment involving heavy lifting Adhere strictly to traffic laws, route schedules, and company policies to ensure timely deliveries Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, and animal handling. Strong knowledge of commercial truck driving, van driving, or box truck operation with a valid driver's license Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and manual handling techniques Experience using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation Join us to make a difference in pets' lives by providing safe, reliable transportation that reflects our commitment to compassionate service!
Pay:
