Fox Forestry is looking for a motivated individual who has a Class A or B Commercial drivers license to fill an opening in our forestry and tree service crew. We pride ourselves in specializing in a wide variety of forestry and tree services, and serve a wide area of downeast / mid-coast Maine. We complete everything from designing and writing technical forest management plans to technical arborist removals, and insect and disease remediation. The majority of our work is concentrated in and around the Penobscot Bay region, with occasional overnight stays on the outer islands.

Responsibilities include:

• Diving Bucket Trucks, Chip Trucks, Hauling loaded trailers with logs, Cutting and chipping woody debris.
• Directional felling.
• Assisting arborists with rigging.
• Operating a wide range of equipment
• Driving Forestry trucks (Class B Mandatory) with trailers / chippers
• Assisting with manual labor on job sites.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating chainsaws and chippers.
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills related to the trade.
• Valid drivers license with reliable transportation to work.
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
