Job SummaryFull-Time Local CDL Class A Driver West Michigan Pallet Management is hiring an experienced, dependable CDL Class A driver for a full-time, first-shift local driving position based in Byron Center, Michigan.

Position Details Starting pay:

$28 per hour Overtime paid after 40 hours Average of approximately 45 hours per week First-shift schedule Home every night Home every weekend Paid holidays Paid vacation time Health insurance is not offered Local routes within approximately a 150-mile radius of Grand Rapids Approximately 99% drop-and-hook work No overnight routes Local short-haul operation with no electronic logs or traditional logbooks required for qualifying routes Equipment and Freight Drivers operate single-axle or tandem-axle day-cab tractors. Our fleet includes both manual and automatic transmissions. Drivers primarily haul enclosed van trailers containing: New and reconditioned pallets Recyclable materials Industrial packaging and related products Daily Responsibilities Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups within a 150-mile radius of Grand Rapids Maintain regular communication with Dispatch and customers Call and text Dispatch throughout the workday as needed Send load pictures using a company or personal cell phone Confirm pickup and delivery information Complete all required daily paperwork accurately Return paperwork at the end of every workday Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections Operate equipment safely and professionally Provide courteous service when interacting with customers Maintain dependable attendance and work well with drivers, Dispatch, warehouse employees, and customers Minimum Qualifications Applicants must: Hold a valid CDL Class A license Have more than two years of professional CDL Class A driving experience Have no previous DUI convictions Have fewer than four points on their driver's license Have a good driving and safety record Be comfortable operating both manual and automatic transmissions Be proficient with a cell phone for calling, texting, and sending pictures Be organized and capable of completing daily paperwork Have reliable attendance Communicate professionally and work well with others Be dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Apply in Person Applications must be completed in person at: West Michigan Pallet Management 534 Gordon Industrial Court SW Byron Center, MI 49315 Turning Waste Into Opportunity.
