Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics network! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to deliver freight efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, including those with refrigerated trailers, on local and over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate and efficient delivery routes. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured according to safety protocols. Deliver freight to designated locations, including handling hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Manage truck loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper documentation and inspection of cargo for damage or discrepancies. Maintain vehicle safety by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or issues encountered during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks preferred. Prior delivery driving experience with a focus on route driving and freight handling. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, or automobile transportation is a plus. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safe manual handling procedures. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with endorsements for Hazmat and tanker operations preferred. Experience operating trucks with manual transmissions is advantageous. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and truck loading/unloading procedures to ensure safety and efficiency. Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
