Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes accurately and efficiently Load, unload, and secure freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity during transit Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials (hazmat) Manage the transportation of automobile parts or vehicles using specialized equipment for safe delivery Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all safety standards Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience in commercial truck driving Proven experience with route driving, freight delivery, and logistics cargo handling Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and automobile transportation is preferred Knowledge of manual transmission operation and truck loading/unloading procedures Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods transportation Experience navigating using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning Prior delivery driver experience involving freight management and route optimization is highly desirable Embark on a career that moves you forward—literally!
