Ebels General Store is seeking a reliable and motivated Full-Time Local Route Driver to deliver products safely and efficiently on established local routes. This position is ideal for individuals looking for steady, full-time work with the benefit of being home every night. The driver represents the Ebels family and business by maintaining a professional appearance, providing excellent customer service, and following all company safety policies and procedures. A CDL is a plus but not required for this position. However, all drivers must maintain a current and up-to-date DOT medical card. Compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely operate company delivery vehicles to complete local delivery routes. Load, transport, and unload products at customer locations and distribution points. Communicate effectively with management regarding delays, route changes, or issues. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and fuel receipts. Safely handle products using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as needed. Keep delivery vehicles clean and in good working condition. Provide courteous, professional customer service while representing Ebels General Store. Comply with all company safety policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid Michigan driver's license required. CDL preferred but not required. Current and up-to-date DOT medical card required. Clean driving record preferred. Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs regularly. Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work a consistent schedule, with occasional Saturdays as needed.
