Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, and ensuring timely delivery of freight to our customers. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will be essential to maintaining our high standards of safety and service. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across OTR routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods. Transport automobile parts, freight, or hazardous materials while maintaining the integrity of the cargo and adhering to hazardous materials regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Manage logistics cargo handling, including securing loads properly on flatbeds or tanker trucks for safe transport. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit. Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving, load securement, and driver hours of service. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation as required by FMCSA regulations. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT standards governing commercial trucking operations. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks related to load & unload activities. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation in various environments. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight safety and security. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.
