We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Garbage Truck Rider for a part time position. This role is essential in providing efficient and dependable waste collection services to our customers. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Ride on the rear of the garbage truck along designated routes Collect and empty waste and recycling containers into the truck Lift and handle containers weighing 50+ pounds multiple times per day Safely get on and off the truck repeatedly throughout the route Operate and navigate a tablet to verify customer stops and service details Ensure all materials are collected in a safe and efficient manner Assist the driver with route navigation and communication when needed Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safety of team members and the public Provide friendly and professional service to customers when necessary

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver 50+ pounds consistently Ability to repeatedly get on and off the truck throughout the day Comfortable riding on the back step of the truck Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods

Qualifications:

Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work early mornings and complete routes efficiently Comfortable using basic technology (tablet or mobile device) Team player with good communication skills Prior experience in waste collection or labor-intensive roles is a plus, but not required

Work Environment:

This position involves outdoor work in all seasons and requires adherence to strict safety guidelines. The role is fast-paced and physically demanding. Route days start at 5 am.
