Job Description

Tucker Freight Lines is hiring a dedicated CDL A Truck Driver to haul dry van freight across the Midwest. This full-time role offers steady miles, predictable routes, and regular home time. Operate late-model, well-maintained tractors and trailers while following all DOT and company safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch, complete logs and paperwork accurately, and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailer hauling dry van freight on dedicated regional routes Comply with DOT regulations and all company safety policies Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries while maintaining professional customer service Accurately complete electronic logs, bills of lading, and related paperwork Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, and route updates Secure loads properly and verify cargo counts and conditions Maintain clean, organized equipment and represent the company professionally Follow route plans and adjust safely to traffic, weather, and road conditions Required Skills CDL Class A driving DOT safety and compliance Electronic logging devices (ELD) Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Dry van freight handling Trip planning and time management Load securement Defensive driving Communication with dispatch Paperwork and documentation
