Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Operates wash equipment to ensure that trucks and trailers are cleaned.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drive tractor and trailer combinations
- Understands and follows instructions on MSDS sheets
- Operates automatic wash equipment including a power washer
- Brush and clean the equipment where auto equipment will not access
- Hand brush tractors and trailers when auto equipment is not functioning properly
- Wash out inside of trailers
- Transfer loads on "out of service" trailers or down units
- Remove pallets from an empty trailer when needed
- Detail inside and out of empty trucks upon direction from Supervisor
- Park yard tractors in wash bay (night shift only)
- Maintain a clean work area including but not limited to: o Filling softeners with salt o Picking up debris in the yard o Empty trash barrels o Monitor and change cleaning supplies when empty
- Perform daily yard checks
- Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience 1 or more years of equipment detailing experience is preferred, but not required.OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must be well organized and provide excellent customer service
- Able to work with minimal supervision and complete duties in a safe, fast paced manner
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must have a valid driver's license
