Dump Truck Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dump Truck Driver to join our team for dirt work or paving. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and a commitment to maintaining safety standards on the job site. Duties Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure loads. Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules. Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, materials transported, and any incidents that occur during transport. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating heavy equipment. Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the truck as needed. Assist with other heavy equipment operations such as bulldozing, paving, or backhoe operation when required. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including Caterpillar machinery, horizontal drilling, and tanker operations is preferred. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor issues that may arise during operations. Experience in construction or related fields is a plus, particularly in roles involving building or paving projects. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
