Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including mixers, tankers, and end dumps local routes. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight with precision following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance standards are met. Load and unload cargo manually or with appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling of freight such as automobile transportation or other specialty loads. Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and compliance records in accordance with DOT regulations. Requirements Valid CDL license with Class A or B certification; experience operating tractor-trailers or similar commercial vehicles preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or route driving with a focus on off road deliveries. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient OTR driving routes. Ability to operate manual & automatic transmission trucks and handle manual handling tasks safely. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards for commercial trucking. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety; previous experience with refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks is a plus. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually when required; good communication skills for coordination with dispatch and clients.
