US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor, is hiring a CDL Local Driver to deliver food and supplies to restaurants, healthcare, and hospitality customers. In this performance-driven, safety-focused role, you'll operate a CDL tractor-trailer on local routes, load and unload products, and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. You'll follow all DOT and food safety regulations while providing professional, customer-focused service. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL tractor-trailer on local routes delivering foodservice products to customers Load, unload, and verify products using hand carts, pallet jacks, and liftgates as needed Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs and delivery documentation Follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations and procedures Provide professional, customer-focused service at delivery locations, resolving basic delivery issues Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and equipment concerns Handle product returns, refusals, and shortages according to company procedures Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs promptly Adhere to performance, accuracy, and safety metrics in a fast-paced environment Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation Local route navigation DOT compliance and logging Vehicle inspection and basic troubleshooting Freight loading and unloading Use of pallet jacks and liftgates Time management and route planning Customer service and communication Paperwork and delivery documentation accuracy Safe lifting and material handling
