Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage various driving tasks. We haul window products for a local manufacturer and driver must assist in unloading the product as our customer requires a scan of each item's bar code upon delivery. Duties Operate commercial trucks for the delivery of goods to designated locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items. Navigate routes effectively while maintaining delivery schedules. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel usage. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including operating forklifts for loading/unloading. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient logistics and timely deliveries. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in route driving and knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Familiarity with load/unload procedures and safety protocols in transportation. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 80 pounds) as required during loading/unloading processes.
