Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class A Truck Driver and take on an exciting role that fuels your passion for driving and logistics! In this position, you will operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and freight loads—will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service. Duties Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and security. Drive a variety of specialized trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to deliver goods to multiple destinations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and DOT regulations. Qualifications Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks with a strong understanding of tractor-trailer handling. Experience handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when required. Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight transportation and vehicle maintenance standards.
