Job Description

STG Logistics (Formally XPO) is seeking a local CDL A Truck Driver for containerized freight operations in the Transportation & Warehousing industry. In this field-based role, you'll run consistent local routes between ports, rail ramps, and distribution centers, starting at $36.30/hr with weekly pay and full benefits. Responsibilities include safe operation of tractor-trailers, pre/post-trip inspections, accurate logging, and professional customer service at each stop. You'll be home daily while supporting a performance-driven, safety-first culture with opportunities to grow your career in intermodal and drayage logistics. Responsibilities Operate CDL-A tractor-trailer on local routes between ports, rail ramps, and distribution centers Safely transport containerized freight following DOT and company regulations Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and electronic records Follow terminal, yard, and customer site safety procedures Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, and load status Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations Secure loads and verify freight against documentation Adhere to performance and on-time delivery standards Participate in ongoing safety and training programs Required Skills CDL A driving Local route navigation DOT compliance Vehicle inspection Electronic logging (ELD) Freight and load securement Port and rail ramp operations Time management Defensive driving Customer communication
