Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Manual Dump Truck Driver to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks and supporting various construction projects. This role requires mechanical knowledge, familiarity with heavy machinery, and experience working on construction sites. The successful applicant will play a vital role in transporting materials efficiently while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures. Responsibilities Operate manual dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites. Perform routine inspections of the dump truck to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Assist with loading and unloading materials using equipment like excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, or dozers as needed. Maintain accurate records of loads transported and ensure timely delivery to project sites. Follow all safety protocols and regulations during operation to prevent accidents or injuries. Collaborate with other heavy equipment operators and construction personnel to coordinate tasks efficiently. Conduct minor maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly for repairs. Skills Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Experience with commercial driving, especially operating dump trucks in construction environments. Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling equipment, or paving machinery is a plus. Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and regulations. Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment and other heavy machinery confidently. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team on busy construction sites. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump truck operation is required.
