Equipment Delivery Driver /
Shop Assistant Job Type:
Part-Time to Full-Time (Approx. 30 - 40 hours/week)
Pay Range:
Starting at $17.00 per hour

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to join our close-knit team as a Pick-Up & Delivery Driver / Shop Assistant.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be the face of Burke Outdoor when interacting with our customers during equipment deliveries and pick-ups. You will also play a key operational role in our shop helping set up, display, and perform basic service on outdoor power equipment. Key Responsibilities:
Pick-Up & Delivery Operations:
Safely operate a box truck to deliver and pick up residential and commercial lawn and garden equipment. Walk customers through new equipment operations, demonstrating basic safety and maintenance instructions upon delivery. Load and unload equipment, including inoperable units using winches, tie-downs, and physical pushing/pulling when required.
Shop & Facility Support:
Assist in daily facility opening and closing procedures. Move equipment to and from display areas, showroom floors, and storage bays. Keep the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently.
Assembly & Light Maintenance:
Assemble and perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new power equipment. Perform basic service tasks, such as blade sharpening, tire repairs, and oil changes.
Qualifications & Physical Demands:
Clean Driving Record:
Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record and feel comfortable operating a large box truck.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift, push, and maneuver heavy equipment (sometimes inoperable units) in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Mechanical Aptitude:
Comfortable working with tools and performing simple mechanical assembly and repairs.
Key Traits:
Hardworking, punctual, trustworthy, courteous to customers, and cautious with safety.
Tech-Savvy:
Basic computer/technology skills for routing, delivery tracking, or shop software.
