East Coast Civil Group is a full-service civil construction contractor based in Morrisville, NC. We pride ourselves on providing turn-key site development services, "from treetop to blacktop." From excavation & grading, to stormwater & sewer lines — and everywhere in-between — we handle it all. Our experienced team and crews deliver proven results for commercial site development.
Essential Job Functions:
Work in a safe manner and adhere to ECCG, OSHA and DOT safety and policy requirements. Safely and efficiently transport heavy equipment, machinery, and materials to and from job sites. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of the lowboy trailer and its equipment each day before starting. Ensure correct number of chains, binders and straps for load pick up. Measure the height of any equipment that may be over height on the trailer. Load and unload equipment. Secure loads properly, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Collaborate with project managers and equipment operators to coordinate transportation logistics. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Wash trucks and equipment when not driving. Help around shop or jobsite as needed. Interact with internal and external customers professionally. Verify you have the right equipment or material for the job.

Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A with no manual restrictions plus no major traffic violations or accidents. Clean Criminal History Report Minimum of 3-5 consecutive years of experience operating a lowboy trailer. Strong understanding of local and federal transportation regulations. Ability to safely operate and maneuver heavy equipment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. High attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Pay:
$29.00 - $32.00 per hour
