DUMP TRUCK DRIVER
Gosnell Hauling LLC is looking for a dependable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, operates equipment safely, communicates well, and can be counted on to show up ready to work.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Valid CDL Dump truck driving experience preferred Clean and safe driving habits Must be able to pass required drug/alcohol testing Must follow DOT and company safety policies Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections Keep truck clean and report maintenance or safety issues promptly Dependable transportation to and from work Must be punctual, responsible, and able to follow instructions Comfortable working around construction sites, paving operations, grading projects, and aggregate facilities Must be willing to work varying start times and schedules depending on project needs
JOB DUTIES
Drivers may haul: Dirt and borrow material Gravel and aggregate Asphalt Milling material Stone and other construction materials Work may include supporting highway construction, paving, grading, utility, site-development, and other hauling projects throughout Western North Carolina. In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our construction projects, transporting materials efficiently and safely across various sites. Your expertise in heavy-duty truck operation, combined with your knowledge of construction machinery and safety procedures, will ensure smooth project progress and uphold our commitment to safety and excellence. Duties Operate CDL-certified dump trucks to transport construction materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris to and from job sites with precision and safety. Conduct daily inspections of trucks and trailers, performing routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with equipment safety procedures. Assist with construction site activities including utility locating, excavation support, and site grading when needed. Collaborate closely with construction crews to coordinate material deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely project progression. Follow federal construction safety regulations and safety regulations at all times, actively participating in safety meetings and adhering to equipment safety procedures. Support heavy equipment operation tasks such as loader, backhoe, excavator, or Caterpillar machinery operation when required for site utility work or excavation activities. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, inspections, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving within the construction industry or related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on trucks and construction machinery. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, backhoes, or Caterpillar machinery. Knowledge of construction utility work, excavation processes, and site grading techniques. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Construction site experience demonstrating an understanding of construction utility work and general project workflows. Ability to operate loaders or excavators for site preparation or utility locating tasks when necessary. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor issues with trucks or machinery to minimize downtime. Join us in building something great!
