Fisher & Son is a family-owned and established distribution company looking for a dependable, experienced CDL Class B Truck Driver to join our team. This is a local, home-every-night position operating a 26-foot automatic straight truck. Our delivery routes cover New Jersey, Connecticut, all five boroughs of New York City, and Long Island. We are looking for a professional driver who is comfortable navigating NYC, takes pride in safe driving, and understands the importance of providing excellent customer service. 2:00 PM Approximately 4-5 customer stops per day Routes throughout New Jersey, New York City, Long Island and Connecticut Regular Driving into all five boroughs of NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, Staten Island) Home Every Night - No overnight or long-haul routes Responsibilities Safely operate a 26-foot automatic straight truck throughout NJ, NYC, Long Island and CT. Complete approximately 4-5 deliveries per day safely and efficiently Navigate NYC streets, traffic, loading zones, and customer facilities Safely load, secure, transport, and unload freight Assist customers with deliveries by getting out of the truck and helping unload and move product into their facility when needed Provide professional, courteous, and reliable customer service at every stop Complete delivery paperwork and required documentation accurately Maintain a clen and safe truck and work environment Follow all company safety procedures and applicable DOT regulations When the delivery schedule allows, assist the warehouse team with unloading, organizing, and other general warehouse tasks What We're Looking For Valid CDL Class B license Clean driving record Previous commercial truck driving experience Previous NYC driving experience strongly preferred Comfortable operating a 26-foot straight truck in Manhattan and throughout the five boroughs Comfortable driving in heavy traffic and navigating tight city streets and loading areas Able to safely lift, carry, and move delivered products Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, required to communicate effectively with customers, warehouse personnel, and other members of the team Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded Professional appearance and attitude Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage a daily route Willingness to actively perform in deliveries rather than simply driving from location to location Willingness to assist with warehouse operations when there is additional time between or after deliveries.
