Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes LOCAL, ensuring TIMELY deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to meet delivery schedules across diverse routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for hazardous materials regulations compliance when transporting dangerous goods. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Experience
MUST HAVE IN DRIVING
•Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving LOCAL Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading procedures. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling practices for different cargo types including dangerous goods, tanker loads, flatbed freight, and automobile transportation. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker). Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for LOCAL driving routes. Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning software to optimize delivery schedules efficiently.
