Job Description
United Site Services is seeking a Bulk Technician to support construction and industrial customers with safe, reliable portable sanitation and site solutions. In this field-based role, you will transport, set up, service, and remove bulk units such as restrooms, holding tanks, and related equipment using company trucks and tools. You'll follow strict safety, DOT, and OSHA guidelines while inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining equipment and vehicles. Working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, you'll coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and site contacts to complete daily routes and work orders. You'll document services using handheld or onboard systems and help maintain a clean, organized yard. Responsibilities Operate, load, and unload bulk portable sanitation and site service equipment safely Perform set-up, service, and removal of portable restrooms, tanks, and related site solutions on construction sites Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools to safety and quality standards Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures and complete required documentation Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, and site contacts to meet service schedules Track work orders, service logs, and inventory using handheld or onboard systems Support teammates in the yard and field with staging, fueling, and basic repairs Report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues promptly and participate in safety meetings Required Skills Safe vehicle and equipment operation (CDL, tanker, or vacuum truck experience) Knowledge of basic construction and industrial site safety practices Use of hand tools and light power equipment for setup and maintenance Basic mechanical aptitude for routine equipment checks and minor repairs Reading work orders, route sheets, and simple site drawings or maps Digital logging and use of handheld devices or onboard systems Time management and route planning in a fast-paced field environment Customer service communication with site supervisors and crews Hazard recognition and adherence to OSHA, DOT, and company safety rules Cleaning, pumping, and servicing portable sanitation units to standards
