Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This vital role involves operating a range of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper manual handling techniques to prevent damage or injury. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules across over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries. Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and hazardous cargo handling procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck condition, including checking for mechanical issues, proper load securement, and compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across various route types. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers with manual handling expertise. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation logistics. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods. Proficient in using GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation accuracy. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety standards for truck loading/unloading procedures. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with delivery driving preferred.
