Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The Driver/Shipping Attendant B is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to a designated location in a fast-paced environment, under general supervision, reporting vehicle maintenance, adhering to traffic laws, planning routes, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. When not making deliveries, the driver will support the shipping department.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS and
EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrate the ability to use the Scanning system to complete the drop-off and pick-up process between Valcor facilities. Conducting pre- and post- trip inspections Performing basic checks (like oil and tire pressure) Following all traffic laws, regulations, and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure safe transit. Plan and follow the most efficient routes, using GPS and local knowledge, to ensure timely arrivals and deliveries. Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior Completing and maintaining required paperwork, such as delivery confirmations or customer signatures. Must adhere to all safety regulations. Must be able to interact with organizational team members and other department personnel professionally. Attention to detail and a sense of urgency are essential in this position. Ensure and maintain good 6S in the work area and follow all company policies, including safety and attendance. Ability to drive up to 5 hours in one day to the supplier and from locations (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and PA) to deliver and pick up products as necessary. Support the shipping team when not doing the routes, packing product. May be required to perform other duties as directed by the manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organization and attention to detail skills. Demonstrate proficient computer skills.
REQUISITE SKILLS REQUIRED
Demonstrated acceptable performance of the required job duties, including the use of arithmetic. Must have a valid driver's license for 2+ years, without any driving restrictions.
EQUIPIMENT/MACHINERY USED
Demonstrated acceptable performance of the required job duties, including the use of arithmetic. Company Van. Electric pallet jack and forklift certification is required within 90 days of the job entry date.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and typing. All candidates must meet the US persons criteria.
