Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely and secure deliveries. Duties Operate commercial trucks with manual or automatic transmissions, including tractor-trailers and specialized equipment such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper cargo handling according to logistics cargo handling procedures. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, adhering to planned schedules and delivery windows. Transport freight over long distances across multiple states while complying with FMCSA regulations and DOT safety standards. Handle hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations, ensuring secure loading, transportation, and documentation. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in line with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues on the route. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across various terrains. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving. Skilled in manual handling techniques for loading/unloading freight safely and efficiently. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, or automobile transportation is highly desirable. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight security during transit. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with dangerous goods is a plus.
