Job Description
Job Summary CDL Truck driver, tanker endorsement, vac truck operator, deliver or pick up equipment, and or materials Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations at all times Manage truck loading and unloading processes with precision to maintain cargo integrity and safety standards Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated (Tanker) Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving roles Familiarity with flatbeds, tanker trucks, dump trucks, belly dumps, and other specialized vehicles is preferred Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, and DOT safety standards Ability to manually handle cargo safely and efficiently during load & unload operations Experience operating GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation Skilled in truck loading/unloading techniques using forklifts or manual methods when necessary Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while managing hazardous or dangerous goods transportation
