Job Description

We are looking for an experienced MSHA certified truck driver to haul raw material in Empire, Nevada. Will start and end each day at Wadsworth, Nevada using Peterbilt 567's and belly dump trains. You will drive empty up to Empire, repeatedly haul material from the mine's crusher to an offload site, and then return to Wadsworth with a backhaul at the end of the day. Job is 5-6 days a week and are expected to leave the yard to head for the mine at 4:00 AM. Responsibilities Transport raw materials over land on a mine site Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Be aware of surroundings and any vehicles or equipment that may be around you Document tonnage hauled and miles driven Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Have a current MSHA certification Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license
