Job Description
Position:
Quarry Truck Driver About County Line Stone Co., Inc.: 3rd generation, privately held manufacturer of limestone construction aggregates and hot mix asphalt, located along the New York State Thruway (I-90), connecting the Buffalo and Rochester, NY markets. Maintains a strong industry reputation for quality control, service and operational excellence as Western New York's premiere supplier of heavy highway construction materials. About theRole:
County Line Stone is seeking a safe, dependable, and motivated individual to join our operations team as a Quarry Truck Driver. This union position is responsible for safely transporting blasted limestone throughout the quarry while supporting efficient plant operations and maintaining a strong commitment to safety. This is a full-time, year-round union position working Monday through Friday with scheduled Saturday maintenance as required. Employees participate in winter maintenance activities to prepare equipment and the plant for each production season.Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate off-road quarry haul trucks to support daily production requirements.
- Develop a working knowledge of the crushing plant, production process, and plant controls to effectively support operations.
- Communicate effectively with management and fellow employees to maintain safe and efficient production.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Participate in scheduled Saturday maintenance and assist with winter maintenance and other plant activities as operational needs require.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous heavy equipment experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely operate large off-road equipment in a quarry environment.
- Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
- MSHA training is preferred but will be provided.
