Job Description
Overview We are seeking professional and dependable truck drivers to join our growing company. We generally operate within a 150 mile radius, so you are home daily. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers & roll-off , to transport freight across various routes. This role requires adherence to all FMCSA and DOT regulations. Drivers will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Experience with flatbeds, tankers, flowboy & lowboy trailers is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, flowboy and lowboy trailers. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery across local and regional routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and proper manual handling techniques. Comply with all FMCSA and DOT regulations and safety standards during transportation and cargo handling. Transport freight securely over designated routes, ensuring delivery deadlines are met. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and compliance documentation as required by regulations.. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments such as flatbed or refrigerated transport. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and truck loading/unloading procedures. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with freight transportation preferred. Ability to work independently while maintaining safety standards. Physical ability to load/unload cargo and heavy goods safely.
