Job Description
Truck Driver Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.Duties:
- Operate Tri Axle Roll Back Flatbed truck. Heavy Haul experience a plus
- Safely drive vehicles to transport cargo to specified customer destinations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or heavy machinery.
- Secure loads by chaining, strapping, or tarping as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform light maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, incidents, or delays.
Skills:
- Proficiency in commercial driving with a valid CDL Class B license.
- Experience in driving trucks with manual transmissions. Peterbilt 379 18 Speed Trans.
- Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading purposes.
- Knowledge of Load securement including chaining, strapping down of loads.
- Strong skills in maneuvering through various terrains and navigating routes efficiently.
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class B).
- Previous experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating trucks with manual transmissions.
- Familiarity with flatbed, or heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job including heavy lifting and manual labor.
