Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Yard Truck Driver to safely move and spot trailers within our transportation and warehousing yards. In this role, you'll operate yard tractors to position equipment for loading, unloading, and staging while following strict DOT, safety, and company procedures. You'll complete pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate move logs, and communicate with dispatch and warehouse teams. Responsibilities Safely operate yard trucks to move, spot, and organize trailers within the yard and dock areas Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and dock teams to support loading and unloading schedules Maintain accurate move logs and follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards Secure trailers, chock wheels, and verify dock assignments to prevent incidents Assist with basic equipment checks, fuel, and fluid levels as required Use radios or mobile devices to receive instructions and update trailer status Support a clean, orderly, and safe yard environment Required Skills Yard truck operation CDL commercial driving Backing and docking trailers Switching and spotting trailers DOT safety compliance Log and inspection reporting Warehouse yard coordination Basic truck inspection and maintenance Two-way radio communication Forklift operation
