Job description Interstate Wholesale Fence , a leading fence manufacturer, is looking for CDL Class A drivers to deliver our fencing products to our customers in the tri-state area. Drivers will leave our W. Babylon, NY yard early in the morning and return by mid-afternoon the same day. Matching 401K. To be considered for this position, candidates must possess / be able to do the following: Have a Valid and clean Class A, CDL driver's license. Be able to drive a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus. Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and pass random drug tests as chosen by our DOT pool. Be able to accurately complete daily drivers log pages. Be able to understand and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, the English language. (Only Class A driver license holders will be considered.) Class A CDL delivery driver responsibilities include: The transportation of our fencing products between our W. Babylon yard and our customer's yards and job sites in the tri-state area. Strapping down the material that is loaded on your truck and making sure the load is secure for your deliveries. Ensures safe and on-time delivery of products to our customers using company provided vehicles and following all company procedures and standards. Be able to learn how to operate a truck mounted forklift (MOFFETT / SELLICK) safely and pass both a company provided forklift training course and forklift certification test. Verify contents of the delivery against shipping manifests. Must be able to pay close attention to details. Must take ownership of the job and get the job done in a safe and timely manner. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be reliable and punctual. Knowledge of fences and fencing products is a plus. Candidates must submit resumes to be considered for this Job.
