Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering waste container throughout Long Island and the tri-state area. In this vital role, you will operate roll-offs, to ensure timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will keep our logistics moving smoothly. We're looking for motivated drivers who thrive on over-the-road (OTR) routes, possess a strong safety mindset, and are eager to contribute to a fast-paced transportation environment. Responsibilities Safely operate roll-offs across assigned routes. Plan and navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Load and unload waste containers, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any incidents encountered during transit. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving. Demonstrated experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling is essential. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning on over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and freight security standards.
