Summary As a Truck Driver at COMTEX, located in Ashland, you will be an essential part of our logistics team, ensuring timely and safe transportation of laundry and linen services to our healthcare partners. This role is vital in maintaining our commitment to quality service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Transport laundry and linen products to various healthcare facilities in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations while operating trucks on designated routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel consumption. Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize delivery routes for efficiency. Assist with loading and unloading of products as needed using appropriate equipment. Adhere to company policies regarding vehicle operation and maintenance. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, preferably in a freight or logistics environment. Clean driving record. 2+ years of experience [referred in regional lane driving and operating heavy equipment. Must be 23 years or older. Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation within the local area. Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers and flatbeds. Familiarity with safety regulations related to transportation and freight handling is essential. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
