Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting patient's efficiently and safely while providing excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving, and possess strong skills in operating various types of vehicles, including Van. This position requires understanding patients needs. A Non Medical Transportation Driver provides transportation services to patients or clients to and from hospitals, dialysis centers, medical offices, rehabilitation centers, and private residences safely and professionally. Non Medical Transportation Driver as - transporting patients using the company's vehicles; maintaining a professional image and attitude in regards to clients, visitors, and co-workers; completing daily vehicle pre-trip inspections, maintaining vehicle cleanliness; assisting clients and patients as needed, and helping the patients in boarding the vehicle. Some of the skills crucial to this post include the following - strong and safe driving skills; strong communication skills; the ability to read and comprehend all points as stated in the transportation employee handbook; valid driver's license, and knowledge of CPR and first aid. Formal education beyond a high school diploma is not expected. Responsibilities Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products using manual labor and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Follow assigned routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and ensure their satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and delivery confirmations. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Familiarity with operating box trucks and other commercial vehicles. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday. Knowledge of route driving and navigation skills to optimize delivery efficiency. Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided. Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
