Warehouse or Logistics Manager Position Summary:
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of pipe, valves, fittings, and related industrial products to customers, job sites, and branch locations. This position ensures that all materials are loaded, transported, and unloaded according to company standards and customer requirements, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate company trucks, primarily flatbed, to deliver PVF materials to customers and job sites. Load and unload materials using forklifts, or other equipment as required. Verify delivery tickets, bills of lading, and customer orders for accuracy before departure. Inspect and secure loads to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driver logs, mileage reports, and delivery documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and customers to ensure smooth deliveries and resolve any issues. Assist warehouse staff with material handling, order staging, and inventory management as needed. Adhere to all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a commercial truck driver, preferably in the PVF or industrial distribution industry. Experience operating flatbed or boom trucks is a plus.
Licensing:
Valid driver's license, CDL preferred but not required Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
Skills:
Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement standards. Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material-handling equipment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 75 lbs).
Work Environment:
Primarily driving and outdoor work environment with exposure to all weather conditions. Frequent loading/unloading in warehouse and job site environments. Requires early morning starts, overtime - we work until the job is finished.
